Mairangi Bay Loves Your Four-Legged Friends! 🐾

Strolling the village with your pup? You’re in the right place, Mairangi Bay is super dog-friendly! From beachside walks to soaking up what the village has to offer, it’s the perfect spot for you and your pup.

Most cafés and restaurants are more than happy to welcome your four-legged friends, but it’s always a good idea to check with the staff first; every place has its own dog rules. Just a quick “Is my pup okay here?” and you’re good to go!

☀️ Beach Summer Rules

(1 December – 1 March)

5:00 PM to 10:00 AM: Off-leash allowed
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Prohibited (dogs are not allowed on the beach or reserve during peak daytime hours)

🍂 Off-Season / Winter Rules

(2 March – 30 November)

All times: Off-leash allowed

🐾 General Park & Specific Area Rules

Boat Ramp: Dogs must be kept on-leash at all times.
Playground: Dogs are prohibited on the playground itself at all times and must be on-leash when near the playground when in use.
General Control: Even in off-leash zones, dogs must remain under effective control at all times, and owners are required to clean up after their pets.
