Mairangi Bay Tennis Club will again be led  by Mark Smith, who returns for his fourth year as President. Mark was unchallenged for the role at the club's recent AGM.

The club continues to grow and is one of the largest clubs in New Zealand.

At the AGM Mark announced that the club has received funding to complete stage one of their plan to change the club's floodlights to LED. The first three courts of nine will be completed before the start of the new season. Further funding is required to complete the project, but the club is very grateful for the support of the Auckland Council who provided funding for stage one.

The new season's opening day will be Saturday, August 22, and everyone is welcome. There will be a social doubles tournament run from 1pm to 4pm. Wednesday night social tennis will start on August 26. The club offers social tennis on Wednesday and Friday mornings 9am - 11am.
