Term 4 Art Programme

Mairangi Arts Centre offers classes for all ages from as young as five years old, through to teens and adults. Learn how to make exquisite ornaments in cast glass, paint a portrait of a family member, create an abstract artwork to display on your wall or pick up some handy drawing skills - these are just a few of the options available. Bookings will open for Mairangi Arts Centre’s Term Four art programme online from 2pm on Sunday 13 September.

Gallery Store

Mairangi Arts Centre’s Gallery Store has a great range of handmade jewellery, cast glass and small sized artworks that would make an ideal gift for someone special. All items are very reasonably priced. We have just received a consignment of new stock so it’s well worth paying a visit.

Free Public Workshops

The centre is pleased to offer two free public workshops by artists in residence Mongoose and Java from  Tardigrade World, an art, design and sustainability collective. These workshops are a response to the ongoing effects of human production of rubbish, seeking to draw attention to  waste and to use it in creative ways.

Waste Tour Workshop  Sunday 22 September 12pm-3pm

Join Mongoose and Java on a ‘treasure’ hunt around Mairangi Bay Village. Explore our local community, be waste-conscious and see what rubbish we are throwing out. Meet at 12pm at Mairangi Arts Centre.

Planting Workshop Sunday 11 October 12pm-3pm

Plant your winter patch! In this workshop you will plant inside discarded furniture to create a unique ‘living room’ sculpture that will grow in the Mairangi Arts Centre’s garden.
